New Mag Drops

RailsToTrails_Fall13_coverReceived the final proofs of the latest edition of Rails to Trails magazine today. Although most of my work here at RTC is more marketing and campaigns-based, there is something great about returning to my editor-roots and putting together a print product.

That being said, my Communications dept. is pushing Rails-to-Trails Conservancy forward toward digital publishing and repurposing what was traditionally just print magazine content for all our social media channels. The writing and photography is so great in this thing – the opportunity we have is to share it with new audiences. It has been great to help drive RTC into a more modern era of communications. Time to put some muscle behind the message.

Some big stories we’re already working on for the next issue:

| One on One interview with Governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, on Michigan’s funding strategy for trail systems

| America’s next great bike metropolis – Oklahoma City. (You didn’t see that coming, did you?)

| Why the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital are investing millions in the Burke Gilman Trail

Good times.

Want to get the magazine? Of course you do. It’s easy and pretty cheap: go here.
